Happy Anniversary

So yesterday was Devin and I's Anniversary. He surprised me in the morning for sure. He got up and left for work at normal time at 7. At 7:30am I was woken up from Mylee jumping onto the window seal because there was a car in the driveway. I was a little freaked out, because no one should be there. Then I heard the front door open. Devin came into the bed room with roses and champagne and told me that we got both of us the day off. YEAH another day off with Devin. He had to work all Weekend so I didn't get much time with him. Perfect day to take off though, anniversary, the weather was record breaking HOT (85, which is hot for Seattle for this time of year). We got up and we went on a little hike at Dash Point St. Park with our little Puppy. We hiked to the top and had a picnic lunch of peanut and butter sandwiches. Then we hiked back down and went out to the water. Maui was very curious about the seaguls and the seaweed. But she refused to get into the water.

So after our fun day in the sun we went and picked up our "wedding cupcakes" since our topper got eaten at the reception. I ordered 5 red velvet cupcakes (which is what our cake was) and made them into our topper!

And then we got all fancy and went out to dinner at our favorite Sushi place in DesMoines where we had out first date, Sushisaki. The have recently changed owner and they got a new su-chef and the food wasn't the same, a little dissapointment but all in all it was still good. We then went down to the DesMoines water front where Devin had proposed and we spent some time down there.

So All in All it was a great day, and the best thing ever, is that it's not over yet. We still get to go out next Saturday where Devin got us booked for Hot Air Balloon rides during the sunrise. I can't wait to go. He's afraid of hights so it should be a BLAST!!! We ended the evening at home in sweats drinking champagne!

Wow, I can guarantee I'll never have an anniversary like that. What a sweet, thoughtful hubby you have! That looks like a lot of fun. And Maui's getting big already!
